Get answers to common questions about Individual.
A full Individual service appointment typically takes 60–90 minutes depending on desired volume and lash mapping. First-time clients may require extra consultation time to select lengths and curls so the stylist can create a customized, comfortable set that complements your eyes.
When applied and removed professionally, Individual service extensions do not inherently damage natural lashes. Proper adhesive selection, correct weight and aftercare are essential. Regular fills and gentle handling prevent stress; avoid oil-based products and picking to maintain lash health.
Refill frequency depends on your natural lash cycle and lifestyle but is commonly every 2–3 weeks. Smokers or oily-skin clients may need more frequent fills. Your technician will recommend a personalized schedule to keep volume consistent and lashes looking fresh.
Mascara is generally unnecessary with Individual service extensions and can shorten their lifespan. If needed, use a water-based mascara formulated for extensions and apply sparingly only to tips. Avoid waterproof formulas and heavy formulas that require oil-based removers.
Avoid water, steam, and heavy sweating for the first 24–48 hours to allow adhesive to cure. Gently cleanse lashes, brush daily with a clean spoolie, avoid oil-based products, and schedule regular refills to maintain shape and longevity.
Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. We perform a consultation to discuss sensitivities and can offer a patch test using hypoallergenic adhesives. If you have a history of reactions, inform your technician so we can select gentler products or recommend alternatives.
